TMZ reports that Dustin Diamond who played Screech on Saved By The Bell is in the hospital suffering from what might be cancer. His spokesperson says that Dustin checked himself into a Florida hospital over the weekend after complaining of all over body pain.
At this point, the doctors are running a battery of tests. They suspect cancer since it runs in Dustin's family with his mother dying of breast cancer.
After Saved By The Bell Dustin lived a wild life. He's been sent to jail several times including once for stabbing a man in a bar fight. He also stared in his own adult film simply called Screech's Sex Tape. He later told Time that he regretted making that tape...as much as people regret watching it. He wrote a book and later went on Dr Oz to apologize for the lies he told about former castmates.
Lately he's been rather quiet and many hope that he has gotten his life back on track. He was reportedly disappointed that he wasn't invited to join the reboot of Saved the Bell like Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez, , Lark Voorhies and Elizabeth Berkley.
