A woman shares on Reddit that her six-year-old daughter doesn’t like physical affection.
Recently the family had a gathering with members of the fam they haven’t seen in awhile, including the woman’s mother-in-law. The MIL went around to each kid and gave them money or candy for a hug, and then tried to bribe the OP’s daughter for a kiss on the cheek, but she wouldn’t go for it.
An hour later she heard screams from the MIL and found her with blood on her nose and blood dripping down her daughter’s mouth. The daughter was crying and told her mom that the MIL had been trying to get a hug, telling her she’s a “terrible granddaughter” if she didn’t give her one. Then the MIL attempted to hug her, and her daughter bit her.
The whole thing has caused a major family feud. The MIL says that the mom is a “terrible mother” and "the child is becoming vicious monster.” The daughter was told by her mom that she did nothing wrong. However her husband thinks it’s wrong to tell the daughter it was okay to bite because “violence is always wrong”.
