Neil deGrasse Tyson is the worlds most famous astrophysicist, cosmologist, & planetary scientist. He posted on Instagram over the weekend that an asteroid the size of a refrigerator known as 2018VP1, is coming towards Earth at a speed of 25,000 miles per hour and may hit us on Nov. 2.
Nasa asteroid watch tweeted: Asteroid 2018VP1 poses no threat to Earth! It currently has a 0.41% chance of entering our planet’s atmosphere, but if it did, it would disintegrate due to its extremely small size.
On the off chance that we do get hit, that would be sooooooo 2020!
