Being in a wheelchair doesn’t keep Anthony Alfano from dressing up in the coolest Halloween costumes year after year. His parents have helped their son, who has cerebral palsy, incorporate his set of wheels into a horse jockey, the Lincoln Memorial, and even Zoltar the fortune teller.
But this year may be the best one yet. Anthony’s Halloween costume will be the “Wheel of Fortune,” complete with an actual spinning wheel strapped to his chair. The non-verbal youngster might not be able to voice his approval, but his mom says he has a blast getting dressed up for the spooky holiday.
“People started really responding to Anthony’s costumes and expecting it every year,” his mom Deanna says. “Once he’s in his costume he totally laughs and smiles and definitely loves the attention.”
