If you love “Game of Thrones,” the newest threat to HBO may spoil your viewing fun.
The group that swiped millions of pieces of data from the premium cable channel has posted information about the scripts of upcoming episodes of "Game of Thrones," along with a month's worth of emails from HBO executives. It's threatening, in a ransom note, to release more information unless it receives millions of dollars.
All items being released have an “HBO is falling” watermark. The ransom note says, "Our demand is clear and Non-Negotiable: We want XXXX dollars to stop leaking your Data," the letter reads. "HBO spends 12 million for Market Research and 5 million for GOT7 advertisements. So consider us another budget for your advertisements!"
HBO says it's working with law enforcement to resolve the issue, and otherwise, it's concentrating on delivering quality entertainment.
