Dierks Bentley is his own opening act.

Well, here’s a reason not to be late for Dierks Bentley’s current “What The Hell” tour when it plays Charlotte this Sunday. Sure fans shouldn’t miss opener Cole Swindell but it turns out there’s another act opening some of the shows – Dierks himself.

The concerts have been featuring an unbilled act early in the evening named the Bolo Boys Bluegrass Band, which turns out to be Dierks and his bandmates in disguise.

The Bolo Boys set is mostly filled with bluegrass tunes, but during a recent show in Pennsylvania they actually played a track from Dierks’ 2010 bluegrass-inspired album “Up on The Ridge.”
