Boa Constrictor now in the Congaree National Park

Sunday night a visitor who thought boa constrictors were native to the Midlands, released one in the Congaree National Park according to officials. Even if an animal is native to an area, which boa's are not, it should never be released into a park for a number of reasons. The timing on this is unfortunate as the park is has been marketing this as the time for folks to visit to catch a glimpse of the synchronized fireflies.
