While seating a group of customers at GW Carson’s restaurant in Branford, Connecticut, Keri Marie Carlson made small talk with one of the diners who noticed she was wearing a hearing aid. She kept asking the man to repeat himself, explaining that she had recently broken one of her hearing aids.
A few minutes later, she was in the back eating her own lunch when the guy came in and said he wanted her to have something. Then this stranger handed her $500 cash and told her, “I am not taking no for an answer, here’s $500 to help you out with whatever you need.”
Carlson was shocked by the kindness of this stranger. “Thank you so much from my humble heart for this amazing gift,” she says in a message directed at her new friend. "You helped me believe there are still good people out there.”
