Teen was told he could never exercise, just ran first marathon

Austin Prario was born in 1997. Doctors told his parents it was doubtful he would live till his 1st birthday.  He was born with holes in his heart, and the 4th chamber doesn't operate! He's had 3 open heart surgeries just to keep him alive. Doctors told his parents that Austin should be sheltered from over exertion.

His dad Dave, tells Runners World. “The Doctor told us that with surgery, Austin could lead a normal life, but that he would never be a varsity athlete or be able to finish something like the Boston Marathon”. Dave loves running and actually carried Austin the entire course when he was 10 months old.

Yesterday they ran it together and finished in 6 hours and 14 minutes!
