A little rain wasn’t about to stop Brett Eldredge from celebrating Chicago Cubs opening day.
The singer played a surprise show across the street from Wrigley Field earlier this week, although the weather did cause a change of plans. The show was originally supposed to take place on the roof of the Old Crow Smokehouse but had to be moved inside.
Regardless, fans who got a chance to see Brett were treated to a concert featuring tunes like “Lose My Mind,” Beat of the Music,” “Drunk on Your Love,” and “Wanna Be That Song,” with the Illinois native closing with Steve Goodman’s “Go Cubs Go.”
“Before I leave here and start partying with all of y’all, I have to say, we are the World Champions,” Brett told fans. “They can never take that away from us. We’ll always have that.”
- ONE MORE THING! LOCASH served as opener for Brett’s show, with a set that featured “Know Somebody," “I Love This Life,” a cover of Keith Urban’s “You Gonna Fly,” and even “Take Me Out To the Ballgame.”
