Conspiracy theorists say new photos of Mars show that aliens could have built towers on the planet's surface.
Alien hunters MarsMoonSpaceTV and UFO YouTube channel SecureTeam10 describe a sphere shown on the edge of a Martian lake that dried up millions of years ago as a "massive white spherical object." They also say a shadow indicates the object is not only large but, quote, "may have some height to it," and might be a tower structure.
Members of NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter team say the objects are probably tiny features called "spherules," which the Mars rover Opportunity discovered in 2004.
