SNL goes live coast to coast for 1st time.

Over 40-years in, "Saturday Night Live" is still finding ways to make history. NBC has announced the final four episodes of Season 42 will air live simultaneously across the country for the first time ever. As network bigwig Robert Greenblatt explains, that means "everyone is in on the joke at the same time."

Starting with the April 15th broadcast, "SNL" will still air at 11:30pm Eastern Time, but at 10:30pm Central Time, 9:30pm Mountain Time and 8:30pm Pacific Time.

The hosts for these history making episodes will be Jimmy Fallon, Chris Pine, Melissa McCarthy and Dwayne Johnson, respectively.

  • Meanwhile, Louis C.K. has been tapped to host on April 8th with musical guest The Chainsmokers.
  • ONE MORE THING! McCarthy is surely a little extra excited about the broadcast as she'll earn her place in the Five-Timers Club with her fifth hosting in two months.
