Two years ago country stars came out to celebrate Waylon Jennings, and now that tribute is finally hitting the airwaves. “Outlaw: Celebrating the Music of Waylon Jennings,” which was recorded in 2015 at the ACL Live at Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, is set to air on CMT April 7th at 10pm ET.
The show, which will also be released as a CD/DVD package on the same day, features performances by Eric Church, Chris Stapleton and wife Morgane, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Sturgill Simpson, Alison Krauss, Robert Earl Keen, Jennings' widow Jessi Colter and their son Shooter Jennings and more.
The show’s closing number features an all-star lineup performing "Luckenbach, Texas (Back to the Basics of Love),” and a preview of the performance has just been released. Check it out below
