Shelia Fluke is the owner of the Balloon Squad located inside the Columbiana Mall. She does balloon décor for any type of celebration; baby showers, birthday parties, grand openings and more! If you celebrate it, they decorate it. She’s been in business for 4 years and decided to venture into the balloon business while home after getting hurt in Iraq and forced into a medical retirement. She started the business out of her home and with the support from family and friends she opened up a store. She loves what she does along with giving back to the community with quarterly donations to local non- profits in Columbia. The advice she has for women who are thinking about starting a business, she says “Just go for it and never be afraid to be different”.
