Man Has Made Thousands Stealing Smokey The Bear Signs

Don’t mess with Smokey The Bear. A Florida man was arrested for stealing state property and selling it online. He allegedly traveled from Pensacola to Orlando stealing Smokey the Bear signs from state forests. He’s accused of selling them on Facebook Marketplace for 19-hundred dollars each. Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson says this is what happens when dumb criminals poke the bear. Smokey the Bear was on hand when the man was arrested.
