2-Legged Chihuahua Saves Owners Life

63-year-old Andrew Kuzyk was watching TV with his dog, Champ, at his home in Atlanta when the dog started pushing on Andrew's chest and whining.

Andrew couldn't get Champ to stop so he called his wife Pamela who said he didn't look so good and called 911.

Andrew was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors discovered he was having a severe heart attack caused by a blocked artery, commonly referred to as a “widow maker.” During surgery, his heart stopped twice, but he survived and is now recovering. “I know for sure I wouldn’t be here without Champ,” he says.

Champ was born missing two front legs and was rejected by his birth mother. They were going to euthanize him when Andrew stepped in to adopt him seven years ago. Champ hops like a kangaroo to get around and Andrew says Champ is his constant, loving companion, saying, “I love him with all my heart.”
