MLB Has Very Special Mothers Day For This Mom

This Mother’s Day was especially memorable for Mary Jung as she got to spend the day watching her two sons, Josh and Jace Jung, play against each other in a Major League Baseball game between the Texas Rangers and the Detroit Tigers. On Sunday, the family gathered at Comerica Park in Detroit, where Mary was invited to deliver the game ball before the matchup began. She and her husband wore custom split jerseys showing support for both teams, with each side representing one of their sons.

Making the occasion even more special, Mary was interviewed during the game, expressing her pride for both her boys. “My heart is just exploding,” she said, noting how meaningful it was to watch her sons live out their dreams on the same field. She shared how grateful she was to be able to spend the day with her family and witness such a rare event.

Both teams celebrated the family’s story, sharing clips of Mary’s emotional reactions to getting to see her sons face off on the field. The game was a unique milestone for the Jung family and was shared widely on social media, capturing the attention of baseball fans as a heartfelt Mother’s Day moment.
