Dad Shares Shocking Cost Of Family Of 5’s Day At Disney World

In a social media video, which has racked up more than 7.7-million views, the unnamed dad breaks down what he paid for one day at Disney World.

  • Before they even get out of the car, he forks over $30 for all-day parking.
  • The biggest expense is definitely tickets to get in the theme park, which cost $974 for the five of them. That includes a Florida resident discount and a child under age 10.
  • Fueling up for all that waiting in line and riding rides means lots of snacks, which costs lots of money at Disney. The first round of two bottles of water and three ice creams was $29.50, then a pretzel and a beer cost another $19.
  • For lunch, the family got personal pizzas, a side and sodas, for a total of $44.35.
  • When they visited the Star Wars: Galaxy Edge park, they spent $6.50 on a “Star Wars”-themed Coke, $36 for a margarita, a churro and a bottle of water, and another $10.29 for a special blue milk from the movie, bringing that snack total to $101.29.
  • Dinner at Disney Springs, an outdoor shopping and entertainment area, was at Frontera Cocina, a Mexican restaurant, where they spent $245.27 on carnitas, carne asada and more.
  • That brings the grand total for the day to nearly $14-hundred ($1,391.91).

Believe it or not, there were things they didn’t buy that day. The dad mentions that he said no to his son’s request for a $44.99 lightsaber, and he didn’t pay extra for the Lightning Lane pass, which lets guests skip the line for three rides, at a cost of $35 per person.
