Ohio Woman Distributes 400 Coats To People In Need

Stephanie Mills was a student at University of Cincinnati and wanted a holiday project to do with her little sister from Big Brothers, Big Sisters. They came upon the idea of collecting coats to donate to the homeless that Christmas.

It went so well they decided immediately to do it again next year. Around that same time Stephanie launched a business called S'more Fun. S'more Fun is basically a food truck that specializes in s'mores and other sweets. A part of S'more Fun is S'more coats where they ask for cash donations and they also ask for gently used coats. Last Christmas they donated 175 coats to very thankful people between Dayton OH and Covington KY.

This year they grew again and with the help of 30 volunteers distributed 400 coats to 28 locations!

Stephanie tells WKRC-TV "I think it’s something the community benefits from but it also benefits everyone who spends their time volunteering. It brings everybody together. The giver, receiver and volunteer are all blessed in this process”
