Thomas Rhett shared a hilarious video of a conversation with his wife, Lauren Akins, as he declared that it’s “time to hit the gym.”
The award-winning singer-songwriter said he has “the most supportive wife,” as he joked that Akins helped him write some of the songs on his seventh studio album, About A Woman, which is set to release on August 23. So far, he’s released “Gone Country” and “Beautiful As You” from the 14-track project.
“I buttoned the shirt right before I went on stage because I felt self conscious because y’all were making fun of me about the tank top,” Rhett said in a TikTok he shared on Tuesday evening (June 11). “Right before I was doing the interview with Ashley McBryde, one of the camera guys looked at me and goes, ‘suck it in.’ I swear he did! Looking out for me. …Jordan Davis let it fly.”
Rhett was one of many artists to perform on the main stage during CMA Fest, the longest-running country festival in the world, over the weekend in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
