Professor Of African History Admits She Has Faked Being Black

George Washington University associate professor Jessica Krug posted a confession on the site Medium yesterday.

I have eschewed my lived experience as a white Jewish child in suburban Kansas City under various assumed identities within a Blackness that I had no right to claim: first North African Blackness, then US rooted Blackness, then Caribbean rooted Bronx Blackness. I have not only claimed these identities as my own when I had absolutely no right to do so.

Professor Krug is the author of the book "Fugitive Modernities: Kisama and the Politics of Freedom".

In case you think she isn't woke, she adds “You should absolutely cancel me, and I absolutely cancel myself.”

Why did she make this confession? She never says but a now former friend says Jessica was about to be outed. Hari Ziyad tweets: She didn't do it out of benevolence. She did it because she had been found out.

Dr Akissi Britton unleashed a 20 tweet storm regarding her former friendship with Jessica. Here's one: One time she said "when my hair is wet I look like any other light skin mulatta" to which I cackled and said, "no you don't. You look like a white woman with wet hair."

The NY Post has my favorite headline for this story. Pigment Of Her Imagination. They also have a video of Jessica using a fake last name of La Bombera, calling out white New Yorker's for not yielding their mic time, to people of color like herself, to speak at a community meeting about George Floyd.
