A pair of sisters in Nebraska who hadn’t seen each other in over 50 years have been reunited and it’s all because of COVID-19 according to People Magazine.
Bev Boro works as a medication aide at Dunklau Gardens rehab center and saw the name Doris Crippen on her patient list and immediately recognized it as the sister she had been trying to find for years.
The women share the same father, but had different mothers and were raised in separate homes. Crippen is the oldest at 73 of his 10 kids and Boro, the youngest at 53, was put in the foster care system when she was six months old and eventually adopted. The sisters say they had been searching for each other for years, but had no luck until Crippen was at the rehab center recovering from the coronavirus after a month-long hospital stay.
"I am the happiest person in the world," Crippen says. "I cannot believe I finally found my sister."
