Woman Beats Coronavirus To Celebrate 107th Birthday!

A 106-year-old New York City woman came down with pneumonia back in late March and her family feared the worst. Frances Abbracciamento actually had coronavirus and now the Daily News reports that she’s recovered from it, just in time to celebrate her 107th birthday!

The Queens woman beat the odds and now has big plans to celebrate her recovery and her birthday. "I've got the antibodies so everyone can come see me! We're going to have a party with cake and my favorite meal, a heaping plate of spaghetti with my son-in-law’s Bolognese sauce".

Frances has already lived through the Spanish Flu of 1918, Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and a broken hip and shoulder when she was 101, so she’s definitely a survivor. And her four children, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren are extremely thankful they get more time with her.

Frances says the key to longevity in her opinion is gratitude. “Everyone needs to be grateful and count their blessings every day! Don't focus on what you want, focus on what you've got. God gives us all plenty to live in this country. I'm so fortunate to have lived here my entire life".
