Residents of Fortville, Indiana have one less thing to worry about this month, thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors. A messageon the town’s Facebook page informed locals that their water and sewer bill for April has been paid in full.
Town officials say the gift came from local businesses as an encouragement to look out for each other in these tough times. There are around four-thousand people living in Fortville and town manager Joe Renner says the total donation was over $210-thousand.
Hundreds of comments poured in thanking the donor for helping them out, many from people who are currently out of work, including Brandon Shipley. “It’s great to know there are wonderful people in this world,” he says. “It gives me hope.”
