A boy in the U.K. who is deaf and has autism and told his mom that he has “no friends” received hundreds of cards to help him celebrate his ninth birthday. Dylan James left school for treatment over a year ago and lost touch with his classmates, so his mom, Natasha, put out a request on Facebook asking people to send birthday cards.
And it worked! Cards came in from former classmates and strangers from all over the globe and the birthday boy was delighted. Dylan received 714 cards in all, along with some gifts, and they made his birthday extra special. Natasha says they’re “just so grateful” for the thoughtful people who sent them.
Happy belated birthday Dylan from your friends at WCOS!
