Student asks teacher to share their bonus points with failing student.

A teacher’s post about a student’s kind gesture is getting lots of attention.

Winston Lee, a history teacher at Letcher County Central High School in Kentucky shared a photo of one of his 11th grader’s tests, showing the kid’s note that reads: “If you could, can you give my bonus points to whoever scores the lowest?"

Lee says it’s the first time in his 12 years of teaching he’s had such a request. He had offered five bonus points to students who participated in an exam review game the day before. In his post, the teacher explains that the kid who wrote the note is a straight A+ student and he didn’t care who the points went to.

That kid ended up scoring a 94% on the test and instead of using his five bonus points to raise it to a 99, he helped a classmate who had failed with a 58 to a D to a 63.
