Plane Full Of Passengers In Charlotte Help A Dad

I usually quote John Candy from Planes Trains & Automobiles when someone tells me that they're about to miss something important. "Those are the precious moments...they don't come back again." Folks don't usually appreciate that joke.

People Magazine reports that Mike Good was flying from Nashville back home to Charlotte, but bad weather caused delays and cancellations, and he ended up in the very last available seat in the back row of the plane. He mentioned to a flight attendant that he was going to be in the doghouse for missing the dance at Davidson Elementary with his seven-year-old twins,Lucy and Emily, but never asked to get off early. When the plane landed, that flight attendant asked everyone if they would let Mike off first so he could make it, and they did! He says he was shocked they all stayed in their seats and thanked everyone as he ran down the aisle.

The dance went till 8 and he arrived at 7:50 so he got 2 dances in! His kids were so happy and his wife cried when she heard that hundreds of strangers sacrificed some of their time so Mike could have those precious moments with his daughters.
