Newberry Man becomes international sensation!

The whole world is talking about him and none of us know his name because he has chosen to remain anonymous. He plays the SC Education Lottery with the same numbers all the time. He checks the numbers in the morning. So on Saturday morning January 25th he checked the Friday night numbers and didn't match any so he tossed it in the trash. Later on he was at the BP Gas station where he buys all his tickets and they had the winning numbers flashing and he realized that he had checked the previous drawing's numbers.

He flew home to see if the ticket in the trash could be saved. He had overcome one in 500,000 odds of winning but what were the odds that a day of people throwing trash on top of his ticket wouldn't destroy it. Thankfully the excess food and a McDonald's coffee cup with some still in it had missed the ticket for the most part. He went back to claim his $100-thousand prize, which he says he plans to donate to charity and use to set up a college fund for his grandchildren.
