Girl was in the hospital for Halloween so her community had a do over

Piper Allen missed Halloween this year and was very sad about it. She had her favorite Frozen character costume and now she wouldn't have the chance to go out trick or treating in it. The six-year-old is battling tuberous sclerosis, a rare disease that causes tumors and growths on the brain and organs. She had to miss out on Halloween because she was undergoing testing to see which treatment she could have to stop her seizures, at Texas Children’s Hospital.

While Piper was in the hospital, her parents,Chris and Kristin, let their neighbors in the Houston suburb of Texas City know that Piper was going to get out of the hospital Saturday 11/2/19. They all decided to have trick or treating for Piper. The community kicked it up a notch with special posters and signs just for her! Her mom says Kristin says "Piper will never forget what the people here did tonight. She had the time of her life!"
