Kindness Of A Stranger Helps Church Stay Put

A church in Fort Worth, Texas doesn’t have to move after all, thanks to a generous donation. When news got out that theChurch on the Slabwas being asked to find a new home because someone wanted to buy their building, a retired railroad employee who wishes to remain anonymous stepped up with the money so the church could buy the building and stay put.

The Pastor says she knew a miracle was taking place when they got the call from their benefactor. The donor is giving the church about $300,000 to buy the property, install heating and air conditioning, and to build a baptistry, because they were baptizing people outside in an old tub.

“These are poor people,” the donor says. “I just couldn’t let this moving elsewhere happen.”
