The 16th annual Stuff-A-Bus

2018 Stuff-a-Bus: Help iHeartMEDIA give toys to kids in need in our community…

We're collecting new, unwrapped toys, and non-perishable food items, and monetary donations for those in need this Christmas.

The items collected will be distributed by the Salvation Army. We do this through a partnership with The Comet, Santee Wateree RTA, and WLTX News19.

It’s our 16th annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign kicks off on Friday December 7th, from 5:00AM. - 7:30PM, where you get to help us help families in need this holiday season!

We will be out at four Walmart stores on Friday from sunup to sundown collected new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, and money.

The goal is to stuff the bus full of goodies at each location.

The need is great this time of year, as many local families struggle right here in the Midlands.

97.5 WCOS, 104.7 WNOK, 560 WVOC, 100.1 The BEAT, Throwback 105.5, Fox Sports Radio 1400, WLTX TV 19, the Salvation Army, The COMET-Central Midlands Transit, SWRTA in Sumter and Walmart, are all partnering for the event. It's designed to collect new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food.

We'll have volunteers there to help unload your car to make it easier to donate.

If your business or church is collecting toys and goods, we're encouraging you to use Stuff-a-Bus as a drop-off point for those items.

Stuff-a-Bus is a partnership with the Salvation Army, The COMET, Santee-Wateree RTA, iHeart Media Columbia, and Walmart Stores.

All donations are processed and distributed through the Salvation Army to families who have demonstrated the need for assistance.

The COMET-Central Midlands Transit and SWRTA provides the empty buses to be filled, and Walmart donates space in their parking lots.
