Students pay for custodian to visit his homeland

Students at the University of Bristol in the U.K. love Herman Duncan, their school custodian. He’s been working on the college’s cleaning staff for 12 years and hadn’t been back to his home country Jamaica to see family in such a long time, so the students wanted to make that happen for him.

Someone set up a crowdfunding page to raise money for Gordon and his wife, Denise, to take a vacation back to Jamaica and around 230 students kicked in for the week-long trip. Nearly $2,000 was donated so the couple could visit loved ones they hadn’t seen in a decade. They had a wonderful time on their getaway and thank all the students who kicked in to make it happen.
