WWII Vet get's birthday flight

A World War II and Purple Heart veteran had his birthday wish come true when he flew “high at 95.” Paul Rosenblatt celebrated his 95 years by flying in a WWII Trainer thanks to the Roy Ray Flight Demonstration Team in Alabama.

Rosenblatt served in the Battle of the Bulge and he’s the last survivor of his unit. His daughter, Shoshana Treichel, says he’s always had a passion for flying and spent more than 40 years working in the aeronautical industry for the Air Force. So when she asked what he wanted to do for his birthday, he said his wish was to fly again and she found a way to make it happen.

The birthday boy had a blast and loved being airborne again. “Oh the flight was exhilarating,” Rosenblatt says. “My favorite part was taking off and landing. My daughter does a wonderful job. I’m very lucky.”
