When This Dog Failed Out Of K9 Training There Was A Surprise Ending

After three-year-old Belgian Malinois, Bozi, failed to complete the required certification tasks to become a rescue dog with the Monticello Police Department in Iowa due to difficulties working around real-world distractions, leading master trainers advised against continuing his training to make him an official K9. Police Chief Britt Smith shared the news on social media, saying Bozi had a strong performance in controlled environments, but they had to halt “Project Bozi,” the fundraising effort supporting his training. Fortunately for everyone involved though, the pup has found a forever home with Chief Smith and his family, where he’s said to get along with all of their “two- and four-legged family members.” People who donated to Bozi’s training are being offered a full refund, but even though Bozi didn’t work out, the department plans to continue their effort to bring in a K9 unit to the community.
