TikTok creator Jimmy Darts, known for his “kindness tests,” asked her for a dollar, and she gave him what little she had left. Doing what he does, Darts rewarded her for her kindness with $500 in cash, which she initially refused.
As they spoke, Pilkerton revealed that she’s battling stage four cancer and her most recent round of treatments, which cost $1,000 a week, weren’t covered by her insurance. Darts was deeply moved by her generosity, shared her story with his millions of followers, and launched a Go Fund Me account to support her. Within 24 hours, more than $100-thousand in donations poured in to help with her care and to provide for her children.
Pilkerton’s willingness to give, despite her own struggles, inspired thousands of people to help in return. The overwhelming response turned her small act of kindness into a source of hope and relief for her family during this difficult time.
