Man Grieving His Wife's Passing Chooses To Help Others

Mike Horn from Statesboro GA had lost most of his possessions last year in Hurricane Helene. His friends and neighbors pitched in to help his family recover as he was trying to help his wife who was in a cancer battle. Sadly a few weeks later she passed. He is still grieving her passing and rebuilding his home from last years damage but recently was watching WJCL-TV when they had a story about Georgia Southern student Bella Rosales whose apartment was destroyed by lightening, and didn't have renters insurance so everything was lost.

Mike knew he wanted to give back to her the way his community gave to him. His late wife had a used furniture store, so he worked with the news station to surprise Bella. She had moved into another apartment and given 3 months free to help her get back her feet, but so far all she had was a bed. The apartment manager let the TV crew and Mike in to fill her place with a kitchen table chairs a couch and more.

When Bella saw her furnished apartment, she was in shock and incredibly appreciative. She says having a chest to hold her clothes in now feel like a luxury. For Mike he says this is the best he's felt since his wife's passing.
