An unnamed 5 year old girl went missing from her apartment Saturday in Manchester CT according to WTNH-TV.
Police responded with K9 officer Dakota. Dakota sniffed her clothes and went to work.
Dakota followed the scent trail to a nearby apartment complex. The K9 led officers up to the third floor, where the child was found safe and unharmed, wandering inside the building. The child was quickly reunited with her grateful mother.
Manchester police posted a video with the caption "We’re relieved and grateful to report that the young child was safely reunited with her mom. And as you can see in the photo, K9 Dakota got to enjoy his favorite reward — a well-earned ball— for a job well done."
