We may be getting somewhere with the mysterious “drones,” but it’s getting more puzzling instead of less. A strange metal sphere was spotted flying in the sky in Buga, Colombia on March 2nd before it landed, sparking talk of UFOs. The sphere, found by locals, has no visible welds or joints, which makes some think it’s not human-made. Researcher Jose Luis Velazquez studied it and said its three-layered design, with 18 tiny spheres inside and a central core, looks like nothing he’s seen before, leading him to believe it could be alien.
However, scientist Julia Mossbridge, from the University of San Diego, thinks it might just be a cool art project. She says people should be careful before calling it extraterrestrial and suggests groups like the Galileo Project study it to see if it’s really not from Earth. The sphere, about the size of a bowling ball with odd symbols on it, has everyone curious, but experts say more tests are needed to figure out what it is.
