McDonald's announced Monday that it wants to hire 375,000 people this Summer! McDonald’s stressed that the new hires aren't temporary Summer rush jobs but actually will be permanent positions. January-March this year, McDonald’s reports that U.S. same-store sales slumped 3.6% and they blame lack of customer service for that.
That was the biggest U.S. decline McDonald’s has seen since the pandemic shuttered stores, restaurants, schools and other public spaces in 2020. The 375,000 hires is much larger than the 260,000 McDonald's hired coming out of COVID.
