Carey Jordan, a father of three, had used his family’s entire life savings to buy a semi truck, which he was going to drive use to provide for his family. He had been studying the truck business for over a year while looking for ways to improve his financial situation. He took the courses and got his license. KHOU-TV reports that the truck was stolen less than a week after he bought it. The security video shows it took less than 3 minutes for the crook to break the window get in and hotwire the truck.
Peter Montes, owner of PM Fleets in Houston, saw that news story and made a decision. "Evil isn't going to win. Not today. Not on my watch". Peter tracked down Carey with a proposition. "We have a pretty big fleet and we're about to trade out some of our used Semi's for new ones. Why don't you come down here and look em over and then pick one out for yourself. Kind of an early Christmas present."
Carey said "my heart dropped … I don’t even know how to accept this.”
