For His 100th Birthday They Took Him Back 80 Years

Paul Crawford, celebrated his birthday in CHAMBLEE, GA.

It was a big one as he was turning 100! When asked how he'd like to celebrate he said some of his happiest days were flying planes. He became a pilot in WWII and flew P-51's. "That was a great airplane out there to fly. Best out there, in my opinion. It's agile, to me, it's easy to fly."

Paul hasn't flown in years because of failing eyesight. "I can't see squat". But to celebrate his big day nonprofits Inspire Aviation Foundation and Liberty Foundation put the veteran pilot back in the air.

The Pilot who flew with him said "Even though he's 100, in his brain, he's 19, 20 years old again. He told me 'you can't go in a Mustang without going upside down at least once', and then flipped us!

Paul says he loved it all and hopes they can do it again next year. "Actually I'd like to do it again next week but they make you wait for special occasions before they pay for all this again."
