Paul Markham of Venice, California was up early Tuesday morning getting his walk in before the sunrise when he heard a window smash. He ran around the corner to see what was happening and it was a robbery of Dudley Market Seafood Restaurant. They had already put the cash register in the car and had gone back to steal the tip jar.
"The dude jumped back out the window, like, right into my arms…so, a little wrestling match ended over there. I locked them up, sat on top of them for like 20, 25 minutes until the cops showed up.”
When ABC 7 tried to describe Paul as a hero he said “It’s my neighborhood, man. That’s it. There’s no Good Samaritan, there’s no hero … I live here. This is my neighborhood.”
