CFB Fan/Dentist Gifts Fellow Fan New Teeth

After the camera panned to University of Oklahoma fan JP Franklin and he was shown on national television during a Sooners football game, the oil well worker was mocked online for his appearance and the state of his teeth. Fellow OU fan and dentist Brett Francis saw the response to Franklin’s image, and he used social media to track him down so he could give him a new set of teeth, for free.

Recognized as a hard-working man, devoted to his family and his team, Franklin says the mockery didn’t have any effect on him, but he was blown away by the offer from Francis. Through his practice, Dental Designs of Stroud, the dentist plans to outfit Franklin with a full set of dental implants, a procedure that would normally cost between $50- and $60-thousand!

Grateful for Francis and the chance to have his smile restored, Franklin has committed to quitting smoking, a habit he’s had for 50 years. As to why Francis is being so generous toward a man he’s never met, he claims it’s simple because he’s able. "I just like to help people when I can,” he says, “I have a skill set that can benefit a lot of people. Why not him?”
