Poll: Americans Concerned About AI Use In Entertainment

A new poll suggests a strong majority of Americans support the striking Hollywood writers and actors.

Data for Progress says, 67-percent of likely voters surveyed said they support the strikes by the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA.

Only 18-percent oppose them.

The poll also found that nearly half of those who responded have a negative view of the major Hollywood studios. Actors want better compensation, mainly for streaming content, and protections from artificial intelligence. Writers want a guaranteed minimum number of weeks of work in television, and weekly pay for screenwriters.

When it comes to AI use over 80-percent of people agree it should only have very limited use in Hollywood.
