A Florida man who killed his neighbor's pet rooster is claiming self-defense. Jacksonville resident James Nix claims he was checking his mail when his neighbor's rooster began to attack him. Then, he hit the animal with a stick.
Nix's neighbor believes the act was intentional. Nix faces charges related to the incident.
