Summer Monro has never eaten fruits and vegetables. Her phobia is called ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder), and prevents her from “eating certain foods,” even a single pea. She thinks when she was 3 someone tried to force her to eat mashed potatoes and she became ill thinking about it. So, then, it begs the question of what in the world she eats instead. That answer lies within a package of Bird’s Eye chicken nuggets. With the exception of an occasional order of fries, those nuggets have been the source of her nutrition since she was three.
