Teen On Disney Trip Saves Drowning Baby!

A teenager from New Mexico was enjoying family time in the pool on her family’s spring break trip to Orlando when she became a hero. Kaydence Henslee,13, was swimming at the hotel when she noticed a toddler floating face down in the deep end.

She admits she was scared, but says her “instincts kicked in” and she pulled the little girl out of the water. Kaydence saw the girl’s lips were already purple and as a crowd formed, someone else performed CPR on her before she was rushed to the hospital. Three-year-old Haven Williams from Missouri didn’t fully recover until 5am the next morning, but she’s doing well now, thanks to the teen who saved her.

“Even the doctors are saying that whoever got her out of the water did it at a perfect time because if she would have been under the water a little longer, it would have been a different outcome,” explains Haven’s mother, Ashley. She’s thankful for Kaydence’s quick actions and the event has inspired the teen to get CPR training
