COVID Cancelling Thanksgiving Game Tradition On NBC

When John Madden joined NBC for the 2006 NFL season he began a Thanksgiving tradition of handing out turkey legs to the games MVP's. NBC has announced that this year the tradition ends. They will replace it with a turkey leg shaped trophy. Michelle Tafoya will be the first ever turkey leg trophy presenter after the Baltimore Ravens play the Steelers in Pittsburgh. That's an 8:20 kickoff. I don't understand how a trophy is less likely to spread to COVID over a turkey leg. It would seem that COVID would actually be more likely to spread on a metal surface than a cooked piece of meat. Anyways here's the other Thanksgiving games.

Houston at Detroit 12:30 on CBS

Washington at Dallas 4:30 on Fox
