Nancy Pelosi Says She Was Set Up

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says her visit to get her hair done indoors at a salon on Monday was “clearly a setup.” She said she trusted a neighborhood salon she has visited often over the years, ESalonSF, when her stylist there told her that they could allow one customer in at a time. Not only were they not allowed to have people in, as the San Francisco Chronicle had printed just a few weeks ago CA law doesn't allow you inside a public building without a mask. Things have been much stricter in CA than SC for quarantine. According to the Mercury News all gyms, restaurants, salons etc have only been allowed to operate outdoors.

An unrepentant Pelosi said she “accepts responsibility for falling for a setup,” and that the salon's owner "owes me an apology"

Nancy says she won’t apologize for walking around without a mask inside a business that she knew was not allowed to be open under San Francisco COVID 19 quarantine law until Tuesday. She did say, that only took her mask off once and that was to get her hair washed.

Was she set up? She was invited by her stylist Jonathan DeNardo. But the owner of the salon is Erica Kious. Erica and most other salon owners have been begging local and national leaders to allow them to open up.

Erica told Fox News last night "There was no way I could've set that up. I didn't lure her into my salon before we were allowed to open. And I've had a camera system in there for five years. I mean, I didn't go in there and turn cameras on as soon as she walked in and set her up. So that is absolutely false. The fact that she actually came in, didn't have a mask on, and I just thought about my staff and people not being able to work and make money and provide for their families, and if she is in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down? Why have I not been able to have clients come in?"

In a somewhat stunning op ed even Pelosi supporter Don Lemon said on CNN "This far into the pandemic the House Speaker should know what is safe and what isn't. We all should know!"
