"This was a hard decision. It wasn't something she wanted to have to do," a source close to Carly tells “People.” "This hasn't been a quarantine realization — it was a last resort."
Carly and Michael tied the night October 6thin Nashville. They were last seen together on June 6th, when they performed together at the Grand Ole Opry, along with Lee Brice and Steve Wariner.
Interestingly, over the weekend Carly shared a picture of her with her friends, and she was noticeably not wearing her wedding ring. She captioned the shot, “I have the best friends so thankful for lots of wine & time with the ones I love most 🍷🍾🥳.”
